What started as a strategy engagement with a large auto manufacturer — conducting an analysis of their intellectual property (IP) to identify potential licensing and monetization opportunities — culminated in their Americas COO visiting the Hub.
During the client experience walk-through, John Nottingham shared the story of how he and John Spirk developed the Cozy Coupe for Little Tikes:
They asked, “For your bestselling model — how many do you turn over every year?
The client replied, “We sell almost 400,000 every year.”
“We've got you beat!” they said, “we sell 700,000 Cozy Coupes every year!”
The visit ended with a review of several billion-dollar opportunities that the client could bring to market using its own IP and a signed strategy engagement to get started. The COO left impressed. “You all really undersold this place.”
